Client Privacy

 

We understand that seeking food assistance is personal. CVCFC makes reasonable efforts to protect client information and limit access to authorized staff, volunteers, or service providers who have a legitimate need for the information.   We do not sell or rent client information.  When appropriate, information may be reported in an aggregated or de-identified form for grant reporting, program evaluation, fundraising, community education, or organizational planning.

 

Sharing Information

 

We may share information when reasonably necessary to provide services, administer programs, process donations, use technology services, meet program requirements, or comply with applicable laws.  This may include trusted service providers, food bank or program partners, payment processors, professional service providers, government agencies, or legal authorities when required or permitted.

 

Donations and Payments

 

Online donations and payments are processed through third-party payment providers. CVCFC does not retain complete credit or debit card numbers.

 

Photographs and Stories

 

CVCFC may photograph or record individuals at community events or activities for educational, fundraising, or promotional purposes. We will seek appropriate permission when an individual is intentionally identified, particularly when sharing a client's story or image.  Receiving food assistance is never dependent upon agreeing to be photographed or sharing a personal story.

Our website may contain links to other websites, including donation, event registration, social media, and partner websites. CVCFC is not responsible for the privacy practices of those websites. We encourage you to review their privacy policies before providing personal information.
