In person: Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, November 28th
Virtual: November 1-28th
What is a virtual race?
A virtual race is a race that can be completed anytime and anywhere. Carson Valley Turkey Trot has a race completion time of nearly three weeks (November 1st – Thanksgiving Day, November 28th). With a virtual race you can avoid parking problems, crowds, using a sani-hut, bad weather, etc. Running a race on your own time and your own terms gives you the most flexibility. Anyone of any age can participate.
Pick up your swag bag on the dates listed below. Run your race anywhere during November 1st – 28th.

Who are the event beneficiaries?
Carson Valley Community Food Closet is a non-profit providing food relief to Douglas County residents in need. You can learn more about the Food Closet HERE.
Douglas Animal Welfare Group is a non-profit group of dedicated volunteers and members who better the lives of Douglas County animals by improving their adoptability, educating the community about responsible pet ownership and other activities that benefit animals, owners and citizens. Registration
How much does the event cost to enter?
Registration is $30 per person for the virtual and in-person option. The Kid's Turkey Dash is $20.00.
Registration begins August 19, 2024, to November 26, 2024. *Same Day registrations will take place from 7:30-8:30am

What if I registered and have suddenly changed my mind or I’m unable to attend the race, can I get a refund?
Registration Policy – Carson Valley Turkey Trot cannot authorize refunds at any time, NO EXCEPTIONS. If your holiday plans have changed, your entry will be considered as a donation to our event.
Is the run timed?
This is a FUN run, so there is no timing.

When and where can I pick up my race bib and swag bags?
You can pick up your swag bag and race bib at our early packet pick up (see above) or the morning of the event.
What do I need to bring with me to pick up my swag bag and race bib?
Please present your registration confirmation email and one form of acceptable photo ID. Your confirmation email is sent at the time of registration.
If you are picking up a packet for a friend or family member, be sure to have a photo of their ID on your phone or a hard copy.

How do I participate?
Can I walk or do I have to run the entire distance?
You can walk, jog, run, or even hike, your choice!
Are there age/division awards?
No, a race certificate will be available to print from you RunSignUp account.

How do I participate?
- Sign up for the Carson Valley Turkey Trot and pick up your swag bag to receive your race bib, medal, and other swag.
- Choose your race route.
- Set a date and run your race!
- Post your race time and see all results.
