After years of hard work and careful planning we are pleased to announce that the Food Closet is moving forward with a capital campaign to fund the construction of a new facility. The decision to proceed with a campaign was a collective choice made by the Food Closet Board of Directors. Ultimately though, the decision was made by the Food Closet community. During our recent planning study, the vast majority of respondents were in favor of a campaign and indicated they would financially support the effort.
The theme of our campaign is Bringing More to the Table. This is fitting for the Food Closet community and this campaign because our community has already supported the Food Closet in so many ways – our capital campaign is a way to bring a bit more, to make our services more efficient and effective.
It is an exciting time for our organization as we seek to lay a strong foundation for a positive future. To be successful, we will rely on the entire community to provide support. We are currently in the planning stage of the campaign, finalizing goals and preparing materials. In the coming weeks and months you will learn much more about the campaign and the different ways you can help the cause. In the meantime, we ask for your continued support for our leaders and volunteers who will be working diligently to ensure a successful outcome.
