A message from Director, Sarah Sanchez
As I share some important news regarding our organization's leadership, firstly, let me express my sincere gratitude for your continuous support over the years. Each one of you has played a vital role in our mission to assist those in need, and your commitment to the Food Closet has been truly impactful.
After more than a decade of dedicated service, I am resigning from my position as Director of the Food Closet. While this decision brings mixed emotions, it opens a new chapter for me, and I'm excited to share that I'll be taking on the role of Director of Programs and Community Engagement at the Food Bank of Northern Nevada. This transition allows me to build on the successes of the Food Closet and I am excited about what I can bring to this position. I regret that I cannot personally speak with each one of you, as you have been an instrumental part of the Food Closet. However, I want to assure you that the Food Closet is in capable hands. Starting February 26th, Traci Votel, Warehouse Manager, and Cynthia Rodriguez, Fiscal and Administrative Coordinator, will serve as co-interim directors. Both are dedicated individuals who have contributed significantly to the Food Closet's success. During this transition period, you can reach out to them for any assistance or information. I'd like to extend a heartfelt invitation to our Open House on Thursday from 3:00-6:00 PM. It would mean a lot to me if you could attend. It's an opportunity to express our gratitude in person, share some memories, and celebrate the Food Closet's achievements together. Your steadfast support has been instrumental in the Food Closet's growth and success, and for that, I am profoundly grateful. Thank you for being a cherished supporter of the Food Closet. I look forward to witnessing its continued success and growth. Sincerely, Sarah Sanchez |
